My Boats

This a model of an early Vosper Thorneycroft motor torpedo boat. The original was built in around 1940 and while quite fast was only armed with two torpedo tubes and twin vickers machine guns. This meant she was at a disadvantage against the heavily armed german eboats. The model is based on a fibreglass hull by abco with twin 550 motors. It was originally built by a gentleman from Wimborne a good few years ago but when he passed away his wife decided to sell it to someone who would get use from it. Enter myself. Have made a couple of modifications and updates but tried as much as possible to leave it as original as possible. 

The SVITZER MARKEN is a Netherlands-flagged tugboat built in 2005, primarily operating in the Port of Rotterdam area for Svitzer, a global towage company. It is a 30-meter-long vessel specializing in port infrastructure services, including assisting large vessels with berthing.

The model is 1/32 scale giving a length of just under a metre. This model had to be rebuilt as it was dropped smashing the top. She is powered by two graupner 900 brushed electric motors on 12 volt giving a lot of power, The aim is to use this to assist manoeuvering of the big HMS Dragon.

This is a model of HMS Cornwall a stretched batch 3 type 22 frigate of the royal navy. Excellent ships they were great seaboats and well armed with a 114mm gun goalkeeper ciws, harpoons and seawolf aam. The model is built on the Fleetscale semi kit in 1/72 scale making it over 6 feet long. she is powered by two 550 brushed motors and the front turret rotates. On the stern there is a lynx helicopter. 

Nice model of the classic leander class frigate. It is built using the fleetscale semi kit which is excellent. Built to a scale of 1/72nd it is a largish model over 5 feet long but remarkably light in weight. I am currently building a wasp helicopter to grace the helipad.
