This model is one that was made by a team about 14 years ago and was used for charity fund raising with a trip up the Thames river and also appeared at many shows. I have now re-aquired it and it is currently undergoing a fairly in depth refit. It is to a scale of 1/32 which gives it a length of 16.5 feet or a fraction over 5 metres. It is the vessel in the website header the picture being taken at the Ellesmere Port model show in 2012 the large gentleman holding the stern is myself.

ship under construction

In the picture above she is under contruction. She is powered by two brushless motors geared down to drive the 6 inch phospher  bronze custom made propellers.

Under the ownership of Alan Noble and the Ateamboatyard she attended many shows over a four or five year period then was sold on to new ownership. In 2019 we acquired her back and i have decided to give her a refit and add some much needed detail. She is currently with Matt Beck of Becks Model Marine a good friend who is fibreglassing the hull to ensure it's ongoing watertightness then a coat of paint. Next will be to add some details. The bridge is being rebuilt as the original was wrong and will include a video camera. Matt is currently 3d printing a 4.5 inch turret, two phalanx's and two ds30 cannon plus hopefully the miniguns. I have a kit of Lynx helicopter in the correct scale waiting for assembly but if anyone knows of a 1/32 scale merlin eh101 that's available please let me know.

Latest update miniguns fitted and a very nice man from australia has 3d printed the Harpoon missile launchers and posted them to me and they look great

Below is a collection of media taken of the boat over the years.

Below is a few images of the vessel as she is now in the garage awaiting refit.
